The coaching has made me mature, helped me to cope with 2 major career transitions and has allowed me to carve out the time to focus on leadership and being the best leader I can be. Its been a huge catalyst for my growth.
Fiona delivered a series of leadership workshops for our managers and leaders on a number of subjects including Coaching, Resilience, Challenging Conversations etc. Fiona developed a fantastic warmth and rapport with the delegates over the course of the programme and delivered the content in an energetic and engaging manner. This enabled her to challenge their thinking and help them discover how they needed to change.
The coaching has enabled me to feel comfortable and confident in my new role. It has pushed me and challenged me to think differently and to trust my judgements and instincts. Its also been hugely supportive during a time of huge change in the organisation which has enabled me to see things differently, to challenge my own (unhelpful) narratives and to have different and renewed expectations about myself. I also feel its enabled me to change some of the key working relationships I have for the better as I’ve become more confident at coaching and challenging those I work with.
The coaching from Fiona has been invaluable. Its helped me to really think about who I want to be as a leader and enabled me to reflect and make changes. Its also allowed me to understand the value of being less passive and more assertive. I’ve become more conscious of being a strategic leader rather than being down in the detail. Fiona has been an amazing coach. I feel very privileged and lucky to have been given the opportunity to be coached.
Fiona has a natural ability to listen intently and ask the probing questions which unearth a greater level of awareness. My personal experience of this was her helping me work through what I really wanted from my next role, which created greater insight for me and challenged some deeply held and unconscious assumptions (and that is from someone that feels very self-aware and overthinks a lot!). Fiona challenged in a way that, although felt gentle and supportive, the content of the questions and focus prevented me from avoiding the difficult topics or move on without understanding and acknowledgement of the real issue.
I was cynical about the day beforehand, having had umpteen similar training sessions, but had to eat my words because it was incredibly useful! Thought provoking but also actually practical and immediately actionable.
